Rod has over 35 years of experience building teams, businesses and leaders. Born in Canton, Ohio he graduated from Perry High School, before moving on and becoming a Captain for the Spartans of Michigan State University. While at Michigan State, Rod was a four-year starter as an offensive lineman contributing significantly to Michigan State’s Big Ten Championship in 1978. He received All Big Ten and All American honors, many team awards, and most notably the prestigious “Gerald Ford Up Front Award” exemplifying the characteristics of our former president. Rod’s greatest lifetime mentor was his line coach, Retired Lieutenant Colonel C.T Hewgley; a Green Beret who served honorably in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam.
Rod’s business knowledge in the transportation industry and technology sectors, has helped many companies achieve logistics, supply chain, and operational excellence globally. He has lived in more than 15 cities here in the United States, and spent many years traveling to various countries across the globe including living in Asia. Rod has been recognized by many companies as a high performing executive throughout his business career.
A proven leader and respected business executive, Rod is also a great friend and humanitarian, volunteering with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Hands on Tokyo, Big Brothers and many other charitable programs. Rod’s beliefs are driven by integrity, discernment, understanding and urgency.
Rod currently resides in North Canton, Ohio and enjoys working out, reading, helping others and spending time with his family and friends.
